About Us

We are a very professionally run Swimming club which provides teaching and coaching for swimmers from competent but occasional swimmer, through to National standard - covering a wide age spectrum from the up and coming youngsters to experienced masters.  We compete in open galas as well as local leagues and currently swim in the Premier Division of the National Arena league, Division One of the Junior (M11) league, Division Two of the Essex Swimming League as well as in the Essex Mini league.  We also have a highly rated Water Polo squad with national talent squad members.  BPSC is a friendly but professional club with an aim to develop our swimmers to reach their full potential and have a vision to become one of the top clubs in the region.

Training

is currently held at:

 - Basildon Sporting Village pool   (See session timetable for details)
50m (long course) pool training every morning except Saturday plus Thursday evening
25m (short-course) training on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday evenings

We have a top quality professional Head coach, and fully qualified staff.  Swim Fees start from only £20 per month for a weekly one hour session.

We normally swim throughout the year apart from a 2 week break in the summer and one/two weeks at Christmas.

We run free assessment sessions for potential new members where you can get to see the club in action.  At these you will get a chance to swim under the supervision of our expert coaches who will advise you on the appropriate squad to join based on your current level of swimming.

The Academy section of BPSC forms the starting point of the young swimmers experience in the sport and is aimed at being enjoyable and fun whilst being challenging and rewarding and preparing young swimmers for their move into the competitive squad pathway of the club.  Further information on is available on the Squad Structure page page.
